The Global Events Subcommittee is responsible for facilitating and promoting Sections’ Centennial events.

ICD Section IX Philippine Islands will host a golf tournament fundraiser for the ICD Centennial, supporting the induction of new Fellows and travel to Nagoya in 2020. The tournament will be held at the Alabang Golf and Country Club in Manila,and will be sponsored by UNILAB, Inc., Petron, San Miguel and Dona Gregoria Villareal Foundation, Inc.  100 participants are expected.

 

2019 International Council Meeting

October 28 - October 29

The 2019 International Council Meeting will be in held Milan, Italy at the Rosa Grand. Councilors are encouraged to make plans early for best prices and choices. Final planning for the Centennial will be announced along with details on registration, tours, and programming. More information will be available in the coming months.

ICD Section III Mexico will discuss their participation in Centennial celebrations during their 2019 meeting.

2020 New Fellows of ICD Section VIII Australasia will participate in a special Centennial dinner and induction ceremony at the iconic Melbourne Cricket ground.

The ICD Section I USA will hold its annual convocation in Orlando, Florida, USA on Oct. 16, 2020. The goal is to have an ICD laser logo blasted on the Spaceship Earth at the Walt Disney EPCOT Centre. Additionally, fundraising and promotional Centennial activities will take place during this Orlando meeting. Centennial games, prizes and social media contests will be planned.

The 2020 International Council Meeting will be in held Nagoya, Japan, at the Tokyu Nagoya Hotel. Councilors are encouraged to make plans early for best prices and choices. More information will be available in the coming months.

The grand finale of the College Centennial will culminate during the Gala and Banquet at the Tokyu Nagoya Hotel. This event will feature interactive exhibits of ICD historical moments and people, from 1920-2020, portraying those who have contributed to the creation and development of the world-renowned institution. Photographs, interactive totems, multimedia contributions and other material will testify to what has been done during the first centenary of the College. An impressive stage will be the scenery for the ceremonial and the entertainment portion of the Gala and Banquet. 2020 New Fellows of ICD Section VII Japan will participate in the Centennial International Induction Ceremony with other inductees from around the world.
